We organized a successful and quite fruitful workshop on the effects of climate and environmental change in conjunction with the Mid-Pleistocene Revolution on early human settlements and dispersal in Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa from April 25 – 27, 2017, in Mauer near Heidelberg. The participants introduced a variety of approaches linking early humans and their behavior with well-documented climate change and shifts in the environments. In a series of workgroups we identified links between the approaches as well as their potential for modelling approaches.
Special thanks go to our hosts from the Homo heidelbergensis Association in Mauer!
