Which factors in the environment drive early human expansions and have an impact on their settlements?
In this workshop we intend to collect, discuss and categorize various hypotheses concerning hominin appearance, disappearance and dispersal around the Mid-Pleistocene Revolution (MPR) in western Eurasia. This workshop plays a crucial role in organizing the diverse hypotheses which are subsequently subject to modelling and are supposed to be tested by comparing the results of different modelling techniques. We would like to identify a set of questions and/or predictions which should be tested by various modelling approaches. Furthermore, we would like to discuss questions of time and spatio-temporal scaling of diverse hypotheses.
We invite presentations (oral and/or poster). If you are interested to participate, please let us know by submitting the registration-form to firstname.lastname@example.org until December 24, 2016.
